They did pretty well with their first foray into owning a pet....with a lot of support and reminders from Andy. Despite their well-intentioned efforts, BG began showing signs of a skin disease, so we all decided to release BG back into his natural Coshocton habitat. The cancer has spread to both lungs.   Through his doctors at University Hospital in Columbus, he has been invited to take part in a clinical trial currently taking place on non-smokers who have lung cancer.   That decision will be made in the next few weeks. Because I was pretty proud of them too.  Jaelyn and Addison designed their faces, even went through several sketches.  Cleaned the entire innards out of the pumpkins by themselves.  Even coached me and gave me tips as I interpreted their drawings with the knife etching the faces into the pumpkins.  They felt pretty satisfied, too.
